SAS Project complete (almost)

Almost.

With the exception of a few finishing touches, I'm calling this one done. Finally !

More detailed photo's to come when I break out the camera gear but in the meantime, here are a few shots taken with my phone.

Go Figure

A word about the figures.

The figures I have used here are from two sets by Russian manufacturer, Soga Miniatures; sets 3567 & 3569. I have swapped the heads around and replaced a couple of them with heads from Hornet and Mantis just to mix things up a little. Images from their boxart below:

I found this really useful image on the internet of an SAS officer and this was the template for the paint scheme on the figures. I guess only the SAS can rock the socks and sandals look.

So this is where I ended up. This is the standing .50 cal gunner but the other three are painted pretty much the same.

A little more SAS jeep progress

More Progress !

Slow going at the moment but jeep No.1 is about ready and I'm making some progress on painting the stowage of jeep No.2. The subsequent dust layers will tone all of this down somewhat and blend everything together.

Anyway, some teaser shots just to prove I'm still working !
